LagosThe Lagos State Police Command  in  it’s fight against the spread of the Lagos today arrested 45 persons at a nightclub in the Maroko area of theVictoria Island axis of the state for violating Covid 19 protocols. 


Our correspondent from  gathered that the funseekers were arrested by the security operatives in the early hours of Monday.


These set of arrests followed twin raids in two other nightclubs in Victoria Island and Surulere areas of the state last week Friday.


So far the police have arrested Two hundred and thirty-seven persons in the course of the operations.


95 other person’s were also arrested in areas designated as criminal hideouts by the police in Ketu and Ikeja areas of the state.

Speaking to, the Commissioner of Police in Lagos, Hakeem Odumosu, vowed that the Lagos State Police Command would continue to carry out such raids thus enforcing the COVID-19 protocols.

With Lagos State severely hit by the second wave of the virus, the action of the Lagos State Police Command is largely commendable owing to the fact that a number of the state’s citizens have adopted a lackadaisical approach to complying with the laid down protocols.
